  • Description of Invention

    Latex glove is a medical safety accessory that ensures sanitary hospital conditions by limiting patient exposure to infectious matter. In industrial field, latex gloves are used to avoid contamination of products by dust or bacteria which can be found on human hand. Latex gloves are made from natural latex, nitrile rubber, vinyl and neoprene. Normally latex glove is powdered with cornstarch to lubricate the gloves. These foreign matters sometime will response with human immune system and can cause allergy reaction on human body. Therefore, understanding the requirement for glove to be biocompatible is important. Many methods have been sought out to measure the protein content of gloves and allergenic potential such as allergenic potential test. skin test, and serological test. However most of them require sophisticated equipment and specialized labs or have low availability.
