Description of Invention
To date, most of the model-based breast tumour segmentation techniques are not automated. The medical expert has to plot the suspicious breast cancer region manually before the images are analyzed. There are large amount of images generated per patient per session and the workloads are very tiresome. Furthermore there are undesirable false positive detectors for MRI images which can be due to motion artifacts and images not phase. Manual segmentation method is time consuming, operator and machine dependent.
