OMNIDIRECTIONAL THERMAL VISUALIZER

  • Description of Invention

Thermography or thermal visualization is a type of infrared visualisation. By using thermographic cameras, radiation of the electromagnetic spectrum can be detected in infrared range approximately 900-14.000 nanometres. Thermographic cameras are used in many areas such as control system (many heavy factories like metal recycling factories, wafer production factories, etc. for monitoring the temperature of the machines), surveillance (to track human trespassing and influenza infected person) and mobile robot navigation. If a single thermographic camera is required to monitor single machine's temperature or to spot a fixed surveillance location, then for more machines or surveillance locations, more thermographic cameras are required. Hence, it can be very expensive, and may require complex synchronization circuitry when image stitching is required.
