Glass has been used for thousands of years, vessels dating back from 1500BC have been found in an area in Mesopotamia. This research is innovative prices based on using waste material in the agriculture industry. The Ninth Malaysia Plan states the Government's intention to focus its effort on developing the country's agricultural sector. Banana stem alas is unique because banana stem have high element of potassium. The potassium oxide, K2O glasses are more resistant to weathering than the sodium oxide glass. It can save cost because the Usage of banana stem as raw material to develop glass without involving much usage of raw material which is expensive compared to banana stem which is a waste material. Moreover, no one has used banana stem to make glass.
