This project is a collaborative effort with the National Library (Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia). The goal is to enhance users' engagement with the Hikayat Hang Tuah manuscript, particularly targeting individuals who may perceive reading as boring or inaccessible. Users may benefit from a memorable visual experience with a virtual reality-based historical experience. People's preconceptions about complex topics, especially historical ones, can be shifted with the help of innovative immersive narratives and interactive storytelling. By transforming the manuscript into a VR game, we hope to attract a wider audience and revitalize interest in this invaluable piece of cultural heritage.
